Fair Balance: Consumers want better disclosure. Another action item for the FDA

More than four in 10 (41%) US consumers pay little or no attention to risk information presented by pharmaceutical companies in their TV commercials, and only half (50%) pay attention to such disclosures in print ads, according to a study by ORC Guideline, which attributes the problem to information overload. So then you have to wonder why the FDA is so obsessed with fair balance in paid search and in other DTC ads ?
