Enough already ! Too many conferences on Internet marketing are overloading people

Pharma budgets are tight and that includes the use of dollars to attend yet another DTC or eMarketing seminar. It used to be a good idea to have them late in the fall as the mentality of use it or lose it made it easy to attend these get togethers. Digital pharma conference "we should" & "we need to"

I have been following the Digital Pharma conference via Twitter and while it seems to me that it's more of the same old same old there is also way too much "we should" and "we need to" going on. Now I am the first person that feels that pharma marketing HAS to change but I am also a realist and know that it is, above all, a business based on ROI and budgets. It's become fun to hear the speakers promote, I mean present insights to pharma marketers about how to market in an era of empowered patients. Today's insights? Pharma needs more people who grew up digital, social media means learning to listen and physicians want materials they can give to patients after diagnosis.
