More awards that mean nothing

While I was at Lilly one of the objectives you needed to get promoted was being recognized in a national trade magazine. Of course it helps a lot when people from your agency are on the panel to approve and nominate such people but its always been about relationships never really about helping patients or customers. DTC Perspectives is good an nominating people within the network.
And then there is Chantix, the brand that has moved to “unbranded” ads after their brand was associated was some nasty psychological side effects. Yes let’s can the transparency and real customers in with unbranded ads. Sure let’s recognize the team for this great and bold move. Is it any wonder that DTC advertising is in serious trouble ?
Remember that no DTC campaigns are ever recognized in national ad magazines because they know that the DTC marketing is not in the same league as most consumer marketers..oh that's right we're a regulated industry and can't do that ! What a bunch of garbage.
