Senators want to know the identity of Cafe Pharma people

So it seems that some people posted information that the enhance study was a bust even before the information was officially released. So our legislators want to know who knew what and when. Now withholding information IS very serious but with millions of Americans losing the equity in their homes while mortgage bankers leave with golden parachutes and the oil companies recording record profits one would think that Congress has more urgent ways to spend to their time.
Merck is already paying the price for Vytoringate with sales on a steep decline and new Rx's virtually non-existant. So what does Congress want to do look at the clinical data and determine why they continued to promote the product? Hell if that's the case Lilly had better be ready to release some data on Cialis that has been under lock and key and a lot of other pharma companies better learn about transparency fast. I am sure that people at the FDA will also have their actions scrutinized about the approval of the Vytorin ads as approval of the product itself.
In case people from pharma are not sure here is the definition of transparency:
You'll
notice that there is nothing about hiding information
to hold onto sales or misleading people and
customers. Will the pharma industry ever learn or
will the government continue to attack the deficit
through heavy fines against the pharma
industry.
